Remix 100 and the Style Reference Poster
One building, restyled 100 ways in Gemini, cut to an original soundtrack and laid out as a poster in Claude Design.
I took one photo of a glass office building with a wooden canopy and restyled it 100 ways in Gemini, from wireframes and silhouettes to holographic foil, with the camera angle locked so only the style changes. The tiles became a 36 × 54 in reference poster for the Photo Lab: 50 black-and-white styles, 50 color and a page of style variables. Remix 100 runs all of them in two minutes over an original soundtrack, built with Claude.
- The trick: put “keep the exact same camera angle” before the style, or Gemini moves the camera
The poster, designed in Claude Design
The Style Reference Poster is three 36 × 54 in pages, laid out in Claude Design on the Yazaki Makerspace design system: 50 black-and-white styles, 50 color styles, and a page of style variables to build your own prompt.
- Designed by conversation: the layout came together in the Design chat, one request at a time, like making the headings more distinct or swapping in the class’s own prompt template, with a check each time that page 3 still fit above the footer.
- Filled from Gemini: every tile is a Gemini restyle of one base photo, placed through the Design chat. Page 3 breaks a style into choices you pick one per row: material, linework, composition and output.
- Reused: the same 100 styles drive Remix 100 and the Restyle Lab teaching game.
